Rubina Ben hails from Basti Shastri Nagar, Jaipur. Due to complications with her first pregnancy, Rubina Ben had to deliver her child through an operation, which would prove to be the only way to birth her second child as well. She got herself a card at the Jana Hospital for further medical assistance. Due to the ongoing COVID-19 crisis, the hospital was room to an active care unit for COVID-19 patients, putting Rubina Ben at high risk. As a result, she had to look for close-by options for a hospital as she wanted her delivery to be safe. She visited 15 hopsitals but the expenses were coming out to be as high as 50,000 rupees. Rubina Ben went to Mehrunisha Ben from SEWA for help, who advised her to go to the Women’s Hospital, a government-run institution. Upon admission to the hopsital, Rubina Ben delivered a healthy baby and thanked Mehrunisha Ben for her support.
