After discovering Usha ben’s talent for sewing, our grassroot researcher Renu ben encouraged her to invest in a sewing machine. Over the course of 15 years, Usha ben has mastered her art and provided training to many. By stepping out of her comfort zone, and realizing a source of livelihood for herself and other women, Usha ben has come a long way. Her work allowed her to provide for her children and give employment to women in her vicinity as well.
Usha ben now recognizes herself as a mother, seamstress and an employer.
