About SEWA Bharat:
Self Employed Women’s Association (SEWA) is a movement to empower women working in the informal economy. SEWA Bharat is part of the national SEWA movement. Established in 1984, it is a national federation of SEWA organizations of women working in the informal economy. SEWA Bharat emerged out of the need to address the SEWA movement’s challenges with geographical expansion and coordination. SEWA Bharat comprises a family of SEWA organizations to further informal women workers’ rights, livelihoods, financial independence, education, health and social security.
Scope of Work:
– Production (recording) and Post-production (editing + sound design) of podcast episodes for SEWA Anubhuti, our in-house platform documenting experiences of women street vendors, farmers, artisans, entrepreneurs, in their own voices, etc.
– Editing reels from existing content for SEWA Bharat’s Instagram and YouTube channels
– Introducing mobile-based video editing apps to our field team and building their capacity in video recording and editing through workshops
– Need-based editing of IEC (awareness) videos for SEWA State teams across various themes centric to womens’ economic empowerment
– Editing interviews of our bens into 2-3-minute videos for our YouTube channel
Key Skills:
- Adobe Creative Suite, basic know-how of video editing and sound design
- Knack for storytelling
- Keen to experiment with forms of audio-video editing
- Attention to details and technical quality
- Hindi (spoken) and English
Location:
Remote, but Delhi-based candidates are encouraged to apply.
Duration & Stipend:
This internship is for a duration of 2 months along with a stipend of Rs. 7,500 per month.
